The Heat Is On

Well the exciting news of yesterday in South Florida was that Wade and Bosh both signed with The Heat and today we find out about Lebron James.  So today's Etsy Treasury is in honor of all things heat related.

This Fire Show Resin Necklace by Sweet Stella is very cool. It reminds me of the lines created by a sparkler.

Too cute! I love these little basketball hair clips by Murals with Love.

Brings a whole new meaning to "Hot Heads".  Fire on Fire is an original art piece by Kinsella Art.

The burlesque lover in me is coveting this Fire Faerie Headdress by Solstice Art.

I don't normally post a lot of products for men, but these cuff links by Southern Living 26 were just too fun not to mention.

Avid blog readers know how much I love gnomes and this Heat Map Gnome photo by Created by the 3 Maries makes me love them even more.

And finally.....

Anyone with the talent to use these just amazes me. I definitely don't have the coordination to do this, but if you do - check out the Collapsible Fire Hoops by Bitter End.

The Good Old Summertime

June 1st is officially noted as being "Children's Day" or "Stand Up for Children Day" both in the United Stated as well as internationally and yet this is the first year that I even knew about it.  Believe me I would have exploited it for gifts somehow back when I was a kid. For me, June 1st marks the start of summer and so today I have for you a variety of summer themed items for children:

Paola Lakimi captures all the best parts of summer in this sweet print.

You can't go wrong with this monkey in a teeny weeny pink bikini from Twinkle Kids 2.

Ensure your baby's cool factor with this felt Surfs Up Mobile by Pink Perch.

For hippie kid chic, no one does it better than Art & Soul. I don't have kids yet, but I buy gifts here all the time. Everything is unique and absolutely precious.

What is better than spending a summer day relaxing in a hammock? Robyna's ZaZa Recycled Baby and Children's Hammocks are upcycled using vintage fabrics are a calming summer treat.

And finally, while I normally try to promote small businesses and handcrafted items, I am in love with Pottery Barn Kid's Beach Ball Sprinkler Toy and I just have to share it with you.

I kind of want one....or three....in the corner of my yard for my BBQ party...

Good Chemistry

Inspired by the above vintage child's microscope from Bella Lulu on Etsy, today I bring you a treasury of chemistry:

Totally unique home decor - it is a Periodic Table Table seen on http://www.scienceblogs.com/

I have fallen for this Love Molecule Embroidery by It's A Stitch.

Making science delicious - a Periodic Table made of cupcakes! (Seen on Geekologie)

The only time that an element might be called adorable is when it is crocheted by Prima and Plush. My personal favorite is Mr Ammonia (seen above).

These vintage chemistry lab chairs would look amazing my house - I need to find out where to buy these! (Seen on Flickr)

Represent for your favorite element with Finest Imaginary's gold mirror chemistry necklaces.

And even if you don't have any interest in chemistry, test tubes, beakers, vintage text books and other science paraphernalia can be used for gorgeous centerpieces for home and event decor:
